I use custom wizards to onboard new members to help set their preferences and category interests on a diverse site. Custom wizards overcome the Discourse composer’s limited capabilities and sometimes confusing design. I also have several custom wizards that allow members to create topics step-by-step by asking them questions with a description and then automatically putting that text in the composer window, or even creating the topic in one simple step.
